About Wayfinder
Wayfinder is a multi-game companion app designed to enhance your board gaming experience. It provides tools and features to assist with game setup, gameplay tracking, and scoring across multiple board games.

History
In 2011, I was introduced to the Rail Baron board game and became deeply invested in it. However, looking up payoffs during gameplay was tedious and time-consuming. To solve this problem, I created a basic webpage that automated the payoff lookups. This webpage remained online until December 2025.
In 2018, I developed a simple app for New Bedford that streamlined the complicated building setup process and eliminated the need to pull tiles from a bag during gameplay.
In 2020, I went to purchase Rising 5 and discovered the app was no longer available in the Android Play Store. This led me to researching and trying to reverse engineer board game apps so that I could always have them and never make the game obsolete.
These projects laid the foundation for Wayfinder, bringing together multiple board game companions into a single, comprehensive application that is open-source and will ensure people will be able to play their games for years to come.
